THAT ROD IS USED MOSTLEY FOR ICE FISHING, BUT IT IS ALSO USED IN THE SOUTH FOR BASS FISHING UNDER AND AROUND CYPRESS TREES OR ANY LOW TIGHT LOCATION, MAKES AND EXCELLANT BASS ROD, MST/DALE : : A have a 5.2 Shimano pistol grip pole it is silver with carvings on it. Model KG-01521 "Karate Stick" Nice pole but is it for bass fishing? not sure.. just got into fishing and got this as a gift like 20 years ago still in the package.
